Guest Speaker – Sue Stockdale
The journey to start up and grow a business is like going to the North Pole – you know there will be highs and lows and every day will be different – but it’s a fantastic adventure!

Sue Stockdale inspires top leaders and entrepreneurs to turn the seemingly impossible into reality. She works with a wide variety of clients ranging from Barclays and WH Smith to Paris Professional Women’s Network and Business Link. Sue is a compelling speaker with a thorough understanding of what it takes to achieve challenging goals. She talks straight from the heart with passion and energy and ensures that people leave with more enthusiasm, focus and commitment to action. Her philosophy is “You must transform the belief you can do it into action. Whatever your ambition – the challenge is to make it happen to the best of your ability and you cannot do that by remaining passive.”

As a successful polar adventurer and athlete, Sue was the first British woman to walk to the Magnetic North Pole and has represented Scotland in 3000m and cross country events. In 2004, Sue finished runner-up in Channel 4’s Superhuman where she undertook some of the toughest tests ever seen on TV including an escape from a crashed helicopter submerged under water.

She founded Mission Possible in 1997 which helps women to reach their “North Pole” in business. They provide a range of business support services including a website, networking events, peer support groups for growing businesses and coaching. Sue has an MBA in Entrepreneurship, lectures at various Universities on the subject, and is author of Secrets of Successful Women Entrepreneurs and Kickstart Your Motivation. She is a women’s enterprise Ambassador and is a member of the Regional Women’s Enterprise Advisory Groups in the South East and South West.
