The South East London Mumpreneur Network has teamed up with ‘Sell It Mama’ to launch the network for mums in business or with a business idea in Crystal Palace at a Businessmums’ networking lunch on Tuesday 15th June 2010 at the Exhibition Rooms. Guest speaker Emma Jones – Founder of Enterprise Nation and author of ‘Spare Room Start Up’, will be providing mumpreneurs with practical advice on how to start up a business along with hints and tips on how to make working at home that little bit easier.
Emma Jones started her first business at the age of 27 from her spare room in Manchester and successfully sold it 2 years later to Tenon Group plc. This experience provided the inspiration for Emma’s next venture which launched in January 2006. The networking lunches are held every 6 weeks during term time to help mums in business tap into the experiences of other like-minded mums and hear from inspiring guest speakers who will share their experience and knowledge of juggling a family with setting up and running a successful business. Mumpreneurs also have the opportunity to attend ‘brainstorm in a teacup’ sessions, where mums in business share ideas, advice and experience over a coffee and a slice of cake.
