We had a great week this week starting with making vision boards at the fantastic Third Door in Wandsworth . If you haven’t seen the vision boards that have been made this month, check them out on the Women Unlimited flickr photostream. Here are a few that we think particularly stand out.
Here are some of our favourite blog posts and inspiration for the week.
Nancy Duarte’s Talk from TEDxEast: You can change the world.
I came across this video while I was looking for PowerPoint inspiration for my moxie club video and really loved it. A must watch for anyone that is interested in how to create amazingly powerful speeches[vimeo]http://www.vimeo.com/20618288[/vimeo]

Oh this is soooooo true! If you are guilty of these, please stop immediately.
These statistics are American, but I think relevant here in the UK as well. Did you know that the average age for a woman starting her own business is 40? Amazing!
Make an O mag picture of yourself… You could be on the Cover of Oprah’s magazine!
Ok, not for real, but this is a bit of fun if you are looking for a break from work today. I would show you my picture, but quite frankly it’s too embarrassing and I look ridiculous, but I did have fun trying!
This link is actually to our LinkedIn Group. This discussion has taken on a life of it’s own and has LOADS of fantastic advice, tips and unhappy web design customers… but I think that’s another discussion. If you’re a member of our LinkedIn Group why not add your 2p (and if you’re not – you should join!)
This is a really interesting article from SheBytes on why and how women buy more lipstick in challenging economic times (really!)
I’m not sure I agree with all the points in this article, but I think it’s an interesting question. There are many ways that we can become trapped by our businesses and lose sight of the bigger picture and what we need to do to lead our company to success.
I just read this today, so it’s a last minute entry into our Friday Fav’s. So much wisdom in here. I particularly like the first reason: You’re acting like an amateur, instead of a professional. This came from the Steven Pressfield book The War of Art: Break Through the Blocks and Win Your Inner Creative Battles (a book I featured in our newlsetter a few months ago).
Finally I’m going to close out with the book I’m reading this week in preparation for the Moxie Club next month: Delivering Happiness: A Path to Profits, Passion and Purpose: A Path to Profits, Passion and Purpose. Business Plus I first came across Zappos, an American company that it absolutely killing it online. This book provides a lot insights into the magic that they have created.
