Women bosses still optimistic

FEMALE entrepreneurs are more optimistic about their business prospects in the year ahead than their male counterparts.

Research shows that only a fifth of male business owners feel confident about profit margins compared with nearly a third of female bosses.

The NatWest/RBS Small Business Monitor found that though women were nearly twice as likely to say they struggled with the burden of red tape, that did not appear to affect the performance of their business.
